According to Android Police Google + account, Google should catch up with the likes of Sony or Samsung in the SmartWatch industry.
It is said that Google should unveiled the Nexus 5 (or Nexus 4 (2013)) and the Nexus SmartWatch, codename Gem at the Android 4.4 Kitkat press conference.
In 2012, Google already acquired WIMM Labs, a small connected devices startup, so everything might fold together at last.
The Nexus Gem could be market changer SmartWatch if it can reach the expectations placed upon such a device and finally getting the "wow" factor which has eluded the entire market so far.
