Qualcomm First 64-bit chip : Snapdragon 410 is an 4G Entry-Level SoC

It is a surprise. Of course, a 64 bit chip was expected from Qualcomm but for high end devices. It seems the first move will be made towards the entry level market.
Qualcomm is gearing up against MediaTek and won't lose the first stop that easily.

Good surprise though, the "low cost" 64 bit Snapdragon 410 features 4G LTE connectivity and is manufactured through a 28 nm process. It sports a new Adreno 306 GPU which could hint to lower performance than 320.

The new S410 will support 1080p video playback, 13 MP cameras, Dual, even Triple SIM and the classic Wi-Fi, NFC, FM radios, GPS, GLONASS and China's Beidou localization solution.

The S410 is able to equip Android, Windows Phone and Firefox OS. The new Qualcomm chip is going to hit the mass market during the second half of 2014.
