We were just talking about Xiaomi's move towards a modular smartphone here and Lei Jeu went on Weibo to publish early sketches of Xiaomi's Magic Cube modular smartphone.
As you can see from the image, Magic Cube should also offer colors customization. Every part has a different function, one packs the Rear Camera, another one the amount of RAM, etc...
If such a smartphone would really be offered to consumers, it would change a lot of things and how smartphones are made. A specific parts market could be created and people would finally have a true future proof phone.
Not enough internal storage ? Upgrade just that.
Not enough RAM ? Replace the part with the latest one.
Pretty cool, right ?
