Xiaomi Mi3 64GB just got approved by Chinese Officials
While Xiaomi has successfully launched their latest flagship, the Mi3 in China, the success was achieved despite the lack of the 64 GB version.
The 64 GB version just got approved by the equivalent of the US FCC in China, it is a license network approval. It is a much needed version since the Mi3 doesn't have any MicroSD slot. With bigger apps, bigger movies files, the storage needs to be bigger as well.
While, it is nice to know that the 64 GB is coming, it is only the Tegra 4 based Xiaomi working on Chinese 3G TD-SCDMA network and no release date has been given either.
Stay tuned on PhonAsia for further informations.

Damn.
ReplyDeleteThere is one month i'm waiting this 64gb version. Already pre-ordered.
Hope it comes SOON !!!
Which 64 GB version did you pre-order ? The S800 WCDMA Mi3 ?
ReplyDeleteI believe its the WCDMA Mi3. I'm from brazil and here we use GSM - the international version.
DeleteThe 16GB version has been released but not the 64GB one.
The Mi3 hasn't begun yet its production. So far, no official release date i known. The TD-SCDMA Tegra 4 version is already there but only for China Mobile 3G network. We made a review here : http://phonasia.blogspot.fr/2013/11/official-xiaomi-mi3-tegra-4-in-depth.html
DeleteHmmmm
DeleteIt seems i got it now - mine is going to be Tegra 4 version (because of the network support).
Actually we use:
GSM 900/1800 3G 850/2100MHz
And Tegra 4 version works on this frequency - SD Version (WCDMA) won't.
btw do you have any idea when they're going to release the tegra 4 64gb version ?
Should i give up on mi3 and get a hongmi (recently released dual-sim, etcs) ? (i wanna know your personal point about that :] )
I'm a bit confused - will this WCDMA version that is going to be released work on Brazil ? I don't think so but i want to hear from someone lese (like im said im a bit confused heh)
Our frequency is:
GSM 900/1800 3G 850/2100MHz
And sorry about my bad english heh.
Thanks
There is still no official informations towards the 64 GB release but we expect it around mid december. It should come alongside the Mi3 WCDMA version.
DeleteThe HongMi is a great phone but it is not as capable as the Mi3. You could probably keep the Mi3 for 2 years while you might have to change your HongMi next year at the same time.
The HongMi supports WCDMA 3G on the 2100 MHz, so it would compatible on some parts of Brazil.
The International WCDMA Xiaomi Mi3 is fully compatible in Brazil, it supports both 850 and 2100 3G bands.
We had the HongMi in stock but it all sold out in one day.
