Just yesterday, Samsung announced that its latest Exynos 5 Octa would be able to run with the 8 cores all at once instead of running only the 4 Cortex A15 cores or the A7 calling this new feature HMP for Heterogeneous Multi-Processing.
MediaTek already stated that their own upcoming 8 cores SoC, the MT6592 is able to such a prowess.
To back up Samsung statement, ARM has released a couple of videos to demonstrate the running 8 cores with QuickOffice and Angry Birds.
Meizu is getting this feature through an updated kernel before the release of the device on September, 21st.
