Game of the week : 1941 Frozen Front (Free)
One of the best strategic game available in the Play Store. It reminds me a lot of C&C. It is based on the Operation Barbarossa during WWII and you can choose to side with the Germans or the Russians.
The game is turn based and you have to choose carefully between upgrading or training more troops and have a impeccable timing when launching your attack. The game is quite short, maybe 5-7 hours to finish the main campaign.
Yahoo Weather (Free)
Everyone knows that a good Android homescreen starts with a beautiful Weather Widget. Even my mother knows it, so shed asked me to get a free Weather widget, as I was browsing the Play Store, I found that it was very difficult to match my paid app, Beautiful Widgets.
Next thing I know, Yahoo was updating their weather app with some very nice graphic effects and a 4 days forecast by default (you can modify this up to forecast 10 days).
While changing area (whether because you are moving or adding others places), the background changes too and it displayed a gorgeous picture representing the new place (like the Eiffel Tower in Paris, or Big Ben in London).
I might be wrong, but this is arguably the best free weather app out there (especially widgets wise)
Twisty Launcher (Free)
Jealous of the shaking launching camera feature of the Moto X ? Twisty Launcher is here for you, flick to left twice and the camera app wil be launched. You can configure others gestures to open others apps too.

It's the summer and you are still working, this is indeed a very stressful situation. Chill out while watching great, inspirational photos taken by professionals. Who knows ? You mind might take you to some new places if you cannot get there physically.
