At the same time the 3 000 Xiaomi TV sold out in 1 minute 58 seconds.
No work yet towards the Snapdragon S800 version.
XiaoMi responds to a Mi Watch rumor
Nine days ago, we talked about a rumor stating that Xiaomi could release its own smartwatch. The news spread quite widely across China because it would be a final piece interacting between the Mi Box, Mi Tv and Mi 3.
However, Liwan Jiang, co-founder of Xiaomi refutes the rumor and said that the Chinese company is currently only focused the Smartphone and TV industries. But he also added that smartwatches are not completely off the table.
Mysterious MediaTek SoC scores over 25 000 on Antutu. Mali 450 spotted
It seems one of the next MediaTek chip is ready for launch. According to those leaks, this SoC has the highest frequency ever on a MediaTek chip, it is clocked at 1.7 Ghz alongside a Mali 450.
Let's break this into sections, so you would understand what it is all about.
1) GPU : ARM Mali 450
This is the evolution of the Mali 400 which can be found in several chips such as Exynos 4xxx equipping the Samsung Galaxy S2 and S3 or in Rockchip SoC as well.
The Mali 400 could support up to 4 cores : Mali 400 MP4.
According to ARM, the Mali 450 is two times more powerful than the 400 running Open GL 2.0 when running at the same frequency and supports up to 8 cores but a 6 cores version can be built as well.
The standard frequency of Mali 450 core is set to run at 250 MHz.
The Mali 450 should come with a dedicated video decoder unit which is able to read video up to 4K resolution.
The main downside of the Mali 450 resides in the fact that it doesn't support Open CL or Open GL 3.0.
2) CPU : Quad Core 1.7 GHz
While the software does indeed read Quad-Core, it might be the octo-cores MT6592 chip. It means, in normal use, only 4 cores are detected at the time or the software recognize the bit.LITTLE design as only a 4 cores SoC.
3) The Score : over 25 000
The benchmark runs on a 720p device with 1 GB Ram and manages to score over 25 000, somewhat around the Mi 2S with 1 GB less RAM. The chip might be bit more powerful than the Snapdragon S600 without reaching S800 territory. Overall, if the promises are kept performances wise, it should be a true mid range SoC killer way better than what the good MT6589T already is.

The boot screen says Key Lime Pie because the rom was allegedly loaded before Kitkat joined the game.

OPPO N1 at $99 though Pioneer's program
OPPO opened its Pionneer program today. Basically, it is an ambassador program to promote the new camera. If you can submit your resume and convince them you can make good use of the rotative camera, you can be elected to buy the brand new flagship for the mere price of $99 instead of $570 or so.
The program starts today and applications can be sent for two weeks.
This is the second time OPPO is using this marketing technique after the Find 5 Ambassador Program
Good luck to everyone.

HTC One Max finally unveiled, what about the new kid on the block ?
Basically, this is a HTC One extra large in every aspects. The One Max inherits the same good looks from its brother, the One : aluminum unibody and also every others specifications.
There is no bump in the power department, so the One Max sports the same Snapdragon S600 at 1.7 GHz, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB internal storage this time expandable with a Micro SD slot (a 32 GB version might come as well), 4 Ultra Mega Pixels lens, 2 MP front camera, a 3300 mAh battery removable this time since the back cover can be detached and a enormous 5.9 inch FHD display.
We kept the best for the end, the overall size of the bezel is quite something : 165.5 x 82.5 x 10.29 mm (6.52 x 3.25 x 0.41 inches) and weighs 217 g (7.65 oz).
The new feature is under the rear camera, it is a fingerprint sensor "à la" iPhone 5S.
It is very big, it as big as the Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 and it is heavier. Here are some comparisons photos where the Galaxy Note 3 appears to be a mini smartphone :
While the same size OPPO N1 offers a brand new way to capture photos, the HTC One Max fails to wow its audience. It is only a bigger HTC One but more expensive. It should be offered at the same price tag as the iPhone 5S, around the $600 mark (which would translate into €600 somehow).
Lenovo K910 Snapdragon S800 got Official Network License Approval
After publishing the best growth rate in the computer department maintaining its top position, the Chinese firm is decided to go toe to toe against the top end tier of the smartphones industry.
The next flagship, the K910 is taking after its predecessor's design, the K900 but this time, Lenovo is losing its Intel SoC and is going towards Qualcomm and the very popular Snapdragon S800.
Well, it seems the launch date is coming rather sooner than later since the K910 got the the license approval from Chinese officials, the equivalent of the US FCC.
The Smartphone has already been largely leaked out and score around 35 000 on Antutu which is on par with the rest of the pack.
It comes with a 5.5 inch FHD display, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB of storage expandable via a Micro SD card and a 13 MP rear camera.

Another XiaoMi HongMi (Red Rice) Rival emerges : Jiayu G3T now available at PhonAsia.com
While the international version of the XiaoMi HongMi is really teasing us, we see more and more often rivals emerge and rise to the moment.
Specs wise, it's the equivalent of the Red Rice : 4.5 inch HD Display, 1 GB Ram, 4 GB of storage with a Micro SD port and the MT6589T Quad Core SoC at 1.5 GHz.
On top of that, the design is truly appealing reminding us a bit of the HTC One.
Price wise, it is also the same : $219.99. Buy now at Phonasia.com.
